JWA Student Design Competition

The JWA Student Design Competition was started in 2011 to inspire and help students interested in architectural design to excel. About to enter into our 4th year, we are so lucky to have had the opportunity to mentor so many students in Oakville with a passion for design. Each year students that are interested are given a detailed and challenging architectural project to design in a competition individually. The design outlines range from Baseball announcement booths, to skating rinks, to modern town gathering spaces, but no matter the outline or requirements the idea is to give the opportunity to high school students getting ready to apply for university or college a taste of the industry.

We have had several students go on successfully to design and architectural schools after competing in SDC and we hope to continue helping students to succeed.
